Paris Carnivals

If you are up for a challenge, pay a visit to Paris Observatory or the Palais de la Decouverte. The diversity of science-related objects exhibited at these great museums will keep you stimulated for hours. The City of Science and Industry and the Gallery of Comparative Anatomy and Palaeontology are also good options to check out.

Some think of natural museums as a place to take the kids, but the fascinating specimens of the Grande Galerie de l’Evolution and the Quai Branly Museum show that there’s enough to keep the grown-ups busy as well. You might also like to explore the Museum of Mankind and the Galerie de Minéralogie et de Géologie.

Paris is a frenzy of artistic activity, with gallery spaces all over. Start your tour of this creative paradise by stopping in at the Picasso Museum and the Museum Georges Pompidou. If you can fit them in, the Cartier Foundation for Contemporary Art and the Orsay Museum are also well worth checking out.

Journey back through time and uncover mysteries of the past at the Hotel de la Monnaie or the Carnavalet Museum. Like the sound of those? Continue your explorations at the Musee National du Moyen Age or the Musee de Montmartre.
